In celebration of UNL PhD alum Zach Schomburg’s (http://lovelyarc.blogspot.com/) re-arrival back in town, as well as in celebration of the half-crippling months of freezing cold that are in front of us, a festivity of sorts/poetry reading will be held at Jeff Alessandrelli’s house (3501 Everett St., just past A street if you’re coming down Normal) on the night of Friday, Jan. 28 (7 PM) and all are invited. Adult beverages will be provided out of a keg-like receptacle. Poetry readers will include Zach Schomburg, John Chavez, Marianne Kunkel, and Crystal Gibbins, among others. Come to get out of the cold, to drink an adult beverage or two, to listen to some local poets read their work in a warm living room and to pet Jeff’s docile, mild-mannered dog Beckett.
