& If there is a central source to all feeling
Watch that be a diamond cave
Refracting, striking out
In some way, then,
There can't help but to be
A unification of sorts, of modes-

Take for instance, high passion:
How it is ignited by something, anything...
Perhaps extreme love is equal to violent anger
and the urge to quiet everything the same
as the need to become a vessel for
overwhelming sound.

Sound so loud its quiet
Quiet so silent its loud
The ragged breath of an
Inexperienced runner
A guitar string

Are we looking for universals here?
For what reason do we search for these,
Unsure of the validity of this hunt?
Is the hunt the first universal?
Is blood?
The womb?
To die?
